Our family was travelling on I-70 over the holidays and our vehicle broke down right outside Ellis, KS. No really knowing anybody in the area, we took a chance and had the car towed to Ellis Auto repair. The owner was awesome. It was right at the end of his business hours, but he took a look at it and managed to get it diagnosed an repaired by the following morning. I looked up the cost of parts and labor for what was done and his rates are VERY reasonable and honest. We were back on the road the next morning and we are forever thankful to the thoughtful folks at Ellis Auto for their work! Would recommend to others and gave them 5 stars!

Our car broke down half way home from Denver to Joplin and this place was a serious life saver! The owner and his wife were so helpful, they even went to hays to get the part! Thank you so much Ellis Auto Repair, you guys are the reason we get to go home!
Yup, the guy is still a CROOK. Originally quoted me $250 to change a $65 alternator. Three hours later (for a twenty minute job) cost $454!!
Total crooks and the owner is a JERK. He tries to run off competition by making up lies and false accusations.
